Reporting directly to the Field Service Manager, you will troubleshoot complex conveyor issues, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, and train customers and junior technicians to ensure seamless operations and maximum uptime. Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults in conveyor systems, including belts, rollers, motors, sensors, and PLC-controlled components.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on Sortation, Accumulator, and Merge conveyor technologies to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
- Conduct root cause analysis using diagnostic tools and data analytics to resolve recurring issues and implement long-term solutions.
- Train end-users and junior technicians on safe operation, basic troubleshooting, and maintenance procedures for Honeywell conveyor systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering and sales, to support system installations, upgrades, and expansions.
- Maintain detailed service records, generate reports on maintenance activities, and ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, and industry safety standards.
- Respond to emergency service calls during weekend shifts, providing 24/7 on-call support as needed for critical customer sites.

- Proven expertise in troubleshooting PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens), VFDs, sensors, and automated material handling equipment (experience)
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and pneumatic/hydraulic diagrams (experience)
- Experience with preventive maintenance programs and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) (experience)
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel up to 25% to customer sites (experience)
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (experience)
- Honeywell or equivalent OEM certifications (e.g., Sortation, IntelliSort, Belt Conveyor Systems) (experience)
- Experience with robotics integration (e.g., AS/RS, AGVs) in conveyor operations (experience)
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair complex conveyor system failures, including electrical controls, mechanical drives, and safety interlocks during weekend shifts
- Execute preventive maintenance schedules using diagnostic tools like multimeters, oscilloscopes, and laser alignment equipment
- Perform root cause failure analysis and recommend upgrades to enhance system reliability and efficiency
- Train customers and junior technicians on conveyor operation, safety protocols, and basic maintenance via hands-on sessions and documentation
- Install and commission new conveyor modules, ensuring seamless integration with existing warehouse automation
- Document all service activities in Honeywell's service portal and prepare detailed reports for continuous improvement
- Ensure 100% compliance with safety regulations, conducting risk assessments and Lockout/Tagout procedures on every job
