Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial machinery, mechatronic systems, and automation equipment to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults using diagnostic tools, schematics, and PLC programming.
  • Install, commission, and retrofit production lines with modern mechatronic components, adhering to industry standards like DIN and ISO.
  • Conduct root cause analysis on equipment failures and implement corrective actions to improve reliability and reduce downtime.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize processes, integrate Industry 4.0 technologies such as IoT sensors and robotics, and support new product introductions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, spare parts inventory, and compliance records in CMMS systems.
  • Train junior technicians and ensure adherence to Honeywell’s safety protocols, including risk assessments and lockout/tagout procedures.

  • Proficiency in reading technical drawings, electrical schematics, and hydraulic/pneumatic diagrams (experience)
  • Knowledge of PLC programming (e.g., Siemens S7, Allen-Bradley) and industrial automation systems (experience)
  • Familiarity with safety standards (e.g., DGUV, ISO 13849) and quality management systems like ISO 9001 (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced certifications such as Mechatroniker-Fachwirt or Siemens Certified Programmer (experience)
  • Experience with predictive maintenance tools (vibration analysis, thermography) or Industry 4.0 technologies (experience)
  • International work experience in multinational manufacturing settings (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Execute scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on production machinery, achieving >98% equipment availability
  • Troubleshoot and repair complex mechatronic systems, including servo drives, robots, and CNC machines
  • Program and modify PLC logic to enhance process control and integrate sensors for real-time monitoring
  • Lead equipment upgrades and retrofits, coordinating with cross-functional teams for minimal production impact
  • Perform root cause failure analysis using tools like 8D methodology and implement sustainable improvements
  • Manage spare parts inventory and procurement to support 24/7 operations
  • Ensure compliance with EHS regulations through daily inspections and safety audits
