Location: Raunheim, Germany | Workplace: On-site

Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced visual, dimensional, and non-destructive testing (NDT) inspections on complex aerospace components and assemblies using precision tools like CMMs, ultrasonic testers, and digital microscopes.
  • Conduct in-process and final inspections to verify conformance to engineering drawings, specifications, and quality plans, documenting results in Honeywell's digital quality management system.
  • Identify and document non-conformances, initiate corrective actions, and support root cause analysis using tools such as 8D, Fishbone, and 5-Why methodologies.
  • Calibrate and maintain inspection equipment to ensure traceability and accuracy, adhering to NIST or equivalent standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues and implement continuous improvement initiatives like Lean Six Sigma projects.
  • Audit supplier parts and processes, preparing detailed reports for quality reviews and customer submissions.
  • Train and mentor junior inspectors, promoting a culture of quality awareness and compliance across the organization.

  • Proficiency in inspection techniques including dimensional metrology, NDT (e.g., PT, MT, UT), and geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T) (experience)
  • Experience with quality management systems like AS9100, ISO 9001, or equivalent (experience)
  • Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems for quality data management (experience)
  • Ability to read and interpret complex engineering blueprints and specifications (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) or Certified Quality Technician (CQT) (experience)
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification (experience)
  • Experience with aerospace prime customer requirements (e.g., Boeing, Airbus specifications) (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Execute detailed inspections using advanced metrology equipment to ensure parts meet tight tolerances and specifications
  • Analyze inspection data trends to identify potential quality risks and recommend preventive measures
  • Lead first article inspections (FAI) per AS9102 standards and coordinate with cross-functional teams for approvals
  • Investigate and disposition non-conforming materials, driving containment and corrective actions
  • Maintain accurate records in electronic quality systems and generate reports for management reviews
  • Support internal and external audits, ensuring full compliance with regulatory and customer requirements
  • Mentor Level 1/2 inspectors and contribute to process optimization projects
