Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct functional, performance, and environmental testing on satellite communication systems, including RF testing, link budget analysis, and signal integrity verification.
  • Analyze test data using tools like MATLAB, Python, or LabVIEW to identify defects, root causes, and improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design engineers and systems integrators, to support integration testing and troubleshoot issues in real-time.
  • Document test results, generate reports, and present findings to stakeholders to drive product enhancements and compliance with industry standards such as MIL-STD or DO-178C.
  • Assist in the setup and maintenance of test environments, including anechoic chambers, network simulators, and automated test equipment.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide testability feedback to optimize product development cycles.

  • Basic understanding of SATCOM principles, RF engineering, and communication protocols (e.g., DVB-S2, TDMA) (experience)
  • Hands-on experience with testing tools or lab equipment through coursework, projects, or prior internships (experience)
  • Proficiency in data analysis and scripting (e.g., Python, MATLAB) (experience)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail (experience)
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment and travel internationally as needed (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Completion of relevant coursework in RF/microwave engineering or satellite systems (experience)
  • Familiarity with test automation frameworks or standards like RTCA DO-160 (experience)
  • Prior internship or project experience in aerospace or defense sectors (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute test plans and procedures for SATCOM systems, including unit, integration, and system-level testing
  • Perform RF testing, modulation analysis, and bit error rate (BER) measurements using spectrum analyzers and signal generators
  • Analyze test results to identify anomalies, perform root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate test feedback into design iterations and support qualification testing
  • Document all test activities, results, and discrepancies in detailed reports compliant with aerospace standards
  • Maintain and calibrate test equipment, ensuring a safe and efficient lab environment
  • Support agile development processes by participating in sprint reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
