Key Responsibilities

  • Contact customers via phone, email, and other channels to follow up on overdue invoices and secure timely payments.
  • Analyze payment trends and customer accounts to identify risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Resolve disputed invoices by investigating discrepancies, collaborating with sales and billing teams, and negotiating settlements.
  • Maintain accurate records of collections activities, customer interactions, and payment statuses in ERP systems.
  • Prepare reports on receivables aging, collection performance, and cash forecast contributions.
  • Support the team in credit risk assessments and dunning processes for German-speaking customers.
  • Assist in process improvements to enhance collections efficiency and reduce Days Sales Outstanding (DSO).

Summary

We have an opportunity for Intern Collections Administrator team with Honeywell in Prague. You would be establishing and maintaining contact with customers concerning past due invoices, payment trends, resolution of disputed invoices, and other matters related to past due receivables.

  • Basic knowledge of accounts receivable processes and invoicing (experience)
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis (experience)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills (experience)
  • Legal eligibility to work in the Czech Republic (EU citizenship or valid work permit) (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior internship or part-time experience in finance, collections, or customer service (experience)
  • Knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems (experience)
  • Additional language skills, such as English at B2+ level (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Proactively contact German-speaking customers to discuss past due invoices and negotiate payment plans
  • Monitor and analyze customer payment trends to predict and mitigate delinquency risks
  • Investigate and resolve invoice disputes by coordinating with internal stakeholders like sales and billing
  • Update and maintain accurate records of all collections activities in Honeywell's financial systems
  • Generate weekly reports on aging receivables, collection effectiveness, and cash collection forecasts
  • Assist in credit reviews and recommend hold/release actions for at-risk accounts
  • Contribute to team projects aimed at streamlining collections processes and reducing DSO metrics
