Summary

  • Demonstrated interest in systems engineering through coursework, projects, or prior internships (experience)
  • Basic proficiency in systems modeling tools (e.g., Cameo Systems Modeler, MATLAB/Simulink) (experience)
  • Legal authorization to work in the Czech Republic or EU (no sponsorship for internships) (experience)
  • Availability for hybrid work in Brno for 6-12 months (full-time or part-time during academic terms) (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior internship or co-op experience in systems engineering or related field (experience)
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as DO-178C, ARP4754A, or ISO 15288 (experience)
  • Experience with agile methodologies or DevSecOps practices (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain system requirements specifications using tools like IBM DOORS or Polarion
  • Create system architecture models and simulations to evaluate design trade-offs and performance
  • Collaborate with software, hardware, and test engineers to ensure seamless system integration
  • Perform failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA) and hazard assessments for safety-critical systems
  • Support prototype development and testing, analyzing results to recommend design improvements
  • Contribute to design reviews, presenting findings to senior engineers and stakeholders
  • Document processes and generate reports compliant with Honeywell engineering standards
