- Prior internship or co-op experience in proposals, estimation, or procurement (experience)
- Familiarity with aerospace or industrial sector bidding practices (experience)
- Certification in progress such as Certified Cost Professional (CCP) (experience)
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, subcontracts, and overhead using tools like Excel, SAP, and estimation software
- Research and compile technical specifications, drawings, and vendor quotes to support accurate proposal pricing
- Assist in writing proposal sections including executive summaries, pricing schedules, and terms & conditions
- Conduct risk assessments and scenario analyses to optimize bid strategies and margins
- Collaborate with sales, engineering, and legal teams to ensure proposal compliance and competitiveness
- Track proposal performance metrics and contribute to post-bid debriefs for continuous improvement
- Maintain proposal libraries and databases for reusable content and historical data
