Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of collections specialists, providing guidance on best practices and performance improvement.
  • Develop and execute collections strategies, including portfolio segmentation, risk assessment, and recovery tactics to enhance Days Sales Outstanding (DSO).
  • Set monthly and quarterly targets for collections performance, monitoring progress through KPIs and dashboards.
  • Collaborate with sales, customer service, and legal teams to resolve complex account disputes and negotiate payment plans.
  • Analyze aging reports and bad debt trends, implementing preventive measures to reduce write-offs.
  • Leverage ERP systems like SAP to automate collections processes and generate insightful reports for senior leadership.
  • Conduct customer portfolio reviews and recommend credit limit adjustments based on financial health indicators.

Summary

As a Sr Collections Administrator here at Honeywell, you will lead the collections function, manage a team, set targets, and implement strategies to optimize cash flow and minimize bad debt. You will report directly to our Senior Customer Experience Manager and you’ll work out of our Praha location on a Hybrid work schedule.

  • Demonstrated leadership experience, such as leading student organizations, projects, or teams (experience)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis) and familiarity with ERP systems like SAP or Oracle (experience)
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret financial data and aging reports (experience)
  • Excellent communication skills in English; Czech or additional European language proficiency preferred (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Pursuing or holding Master's degree in Finance or Accounting (experience)
  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Credit Professional (CCP) or NACM coursework (experience)
  • International exposure through study abroad or multinational projects (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of 3-5 collections specialists, conducting performance reviews and training sessions
  • Design and implement collections strategies to reduce DSO by targeting high-risk accounts
  • Set and track KPI targets for collections recovery rates, bad debt provisions, and cash inflows
  • Analyze customer payment behaviors using data analytics tools to forecast cash flow
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales and legal teams to resolve disputes and secure payments
  • Develop automated reporting dashboards in Excel or BI tools for real-time visibility
  • Conduct root cause analysis on overdue accounts and recommend process improvements
