Reporting to the Regional Service Manager, you will lead field operations, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with project teams to uphold NFPA standards and regulatory compliance while fostering continuous improvement in service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of 4-8 field technicians in the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of complex fire alarm, suppression, and detection systems.
  • Conduct advanced diagnostics on system malfunctions, utilizing test equipment and software tools to resolve issues efficiently and minimize downtime.
  • Ensure all work complies with NFPA 72, UL, FM, and local fire codes, performing inspections and documentation to maintain certifications.
  • Mentor and train technicians on best practices, safety protocols, and emerging technologies in fire safety systems.
  • Coordinate with customers, general contractors, and internal project teams to schedule services, manage expectations, and deliver high-quality outcomes.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, analyzing service metrics to optimize processes and reduce response times.
  • Prepare detailed service reports, maintain accurate records in Honeywell's service management system, and support warranty claims.

  • 5+ years of leadership experience supervising field service teams (experience)
  • NICET Level III or IV certification in Fire Alarm Systems or equivalent (experience)
  • In-depth knowledge of NFPA 72, NFPA 20, and local fire codes (experience)
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 50% within the US (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection or Electrical Engineering (experience)
  • Manufacturer certifications (e.g., Honeywell NOTIFIER, Siemens Cerberus, or SimplexGrinnell) (experience)
  • Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS) integration and low-voltage fire systems (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of field service team, assigning tasks and ensuring timely completion of service calls and projects
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair of fire detection, alarm, and suppression systems using diagnostic tools and oscilloscopes
  • Lead system inspections, testing, and certifications to verify compliance with NFPA standards and customer specifications
  • Mentor technicians through on-the-job training, performance reviews, and skill development programs
  • Collaborate with sales, engineering, and project management teams to scope services and resolve complex customer issues
  • Maintain service vehicles, tools, and inventory while adhering to Honeywell safety and quality protocols
