Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert legal advice on complex commercial transactions, including mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, and supply chain agreements across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Draft, negotiate, and review high-stakes contracts, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead compliance programs to navigate international regulations such as GDPR, export controls (ITAR/EAR), anti-corruption (FCPA), and antitrust laws.
  • Conduct risk assessments, develop mitigation strategies, and represent the company in litigation, arbitrations, and regulatory investigations.
  • Advise executive leadership on emerging legal issues in aerospace, building technologies, performance materials, and safety solutions sectors.
  • Mentor junior legal staff and collaborate with external counsel to optimize legal operations and cost efficiency.
  • Drive proactive legal strategies that support Honeywell’s sustainability goals and ESG initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of relevant legal experience in a corporate or law firm environment, preferably in manufacturing, aerospace, or technology sectors (experience)
  • Proven track record advising on international commercial law, compliance, and transactions (experience)
  • Strong understanding of U.S. and global regulatory frameworks including export controls and data privacy (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • LL.M. in International Law or Taxation (experience)
  • Experience in-house at a Fortune 500 company (experience)
  • Fluency in additional languages (e.g., Mandarin, German, or Spanish) (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Advise on and structure complex global contracts, M&A deals, and strategic partnerships to minimize risk and maximize value
  • Develop and implement enterprise-wide compliance programs tailored to Honeywell’s diverse business units
  • Lead responses to regulatory inquiries, audits, and enforcement actions across international borders
  • Conduct thorough legal due diligence for business development initiatives and investments
  • Collaborate with business teams to integrate legal considerations into product innovation and market expansion strategies
  • Manage litigation portfolios, including coordinating with external counsel and driving favorable outcomes
  • Mentor and develop legal talent while contributing to departmental process improvements
