Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, simulation, and verification of analog and mixed-signal circuits for space-grade electronics, including power management, sensors, and RF interfaces.
  • Mentor junior engineers and oversee schematic capture, PCB layout, and prototyping using tools like Cadence Allegro and LTSpice.
  • Conduct radiation hardening analysis and ensure compliance with space standards such as MIL-STD-1540 and ECSS.
  • Collaborate with systems engineers, firmware teams, and external suppliers to integrate designs into full spacecraft subsystems.
  • Perform failure mode analysis (FMEA), thermal/vibration testing, and qualification to AS9100 standards.
  • Drive innovation by exploring advanced analog technologies like GaN amplifiers and low-noise precision circuits for deep-space missions.
  • Prepare technical documentation, present design reviews to stakeholders, and support program milestones from concept to flight qualification.

  • Hands-on experience with high-reliability electronics design for radiation-tolerant environments (experience)
  • Familiarity with space qualification processes and standards (e.g., NASA EEE Parts, MIL-STD-883) (experience)
  • U.S. citizenship or permanent residency required due to ITAR and space program regulations (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering with focus on analog design (experience)
  • Experience with spaceflight hardware (e.g., CubeSats, launch vehicles, or planetary missions) (experience)
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Aerospace Technician or Six Sigma Green Belt (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Architect and implement analog circuits including ADCs, DACs, voltage regulators, and amplifiers optimized for space environments
  • Lead design reviews, risk assessments, and trade studies to ensure robust, low-SWaP (Size, Weight, and Power) solutions
  • Simulate and validate designs using SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink, and perform worst-case analysis for radiation and thermal extremes
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with mechanical, thermal, and software teams to resolve integration challenges
  • Oversee PCB fabrication, assembly, and environmental testing (vibration, shock, thermal vacuum)
  • Mentor and develop team members while contributing to proposal development and customer briefings
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and apply them to enhance Honeywell's space portfolio
