Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of electrical systems, including power distribution, control systems, and embedded electronics for complex engineering projects.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and knowledge sharing.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and simulations using tools like MATLAB/Simulink and LTSpice to optimize system performance.
  • Oversee prototyping, testing, and validation of electrical components to ensure compliance with industry standards such as IPC, UL, and IEC.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, software, and systems engineers, to integrate electrical designs into full product architectures.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, implementing DFMEA and root cause analysis to enhance reliability and reduce costs.
  • Interface with suppliers and stakeholders to specify, procure, and qualify electrical components and subsystems.

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in electrical systems design and development within aerospace, industrial automation, or manufacturing industries (experience)
  • Proven track record of leading technical teams on complex electrical engineering projects from concept to production (experience)
  • Hands-on experience with PCB design tools such as Altium Designer or Cadence Allegro (experience)
  • Strong knowledge of electrical standards, EMC/EMI compliance, and safety regulations (e.g., DO-160, MIL-STD) (experience)
  • Experience with power electronics, including inverters, converters, and high-voltage systems (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (experience)
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certifications (e.g., Six Sigma Green Belt) (experience)
  • Experience with model-based systems engineering and tools like SysML or Cameo Systems Modeler (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Architect and design electrical systems and schematics for high-reliability applications, ensuring scalability and manufacturability
  • Lead multidisciplinary project teams, defining technical requirements and managing scope, schedule, and budget
  • Perform detailed simulations, thermal analysis, and worst-case circuit analysis to validate designs
  • Develop and execute test plans for hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing and environmental qualification
  • Identify and implement cost-saving innovations while maintaining performance and compliance
  • Prepare technical documentation, including design reviews, BOMs, and qualification reports
  • Mentor engineers and contribute to Honeywell's engineering best practices and process improvements
