Lead Field Service Engineer - Security and Fire

Location: International (Hybrid Workplace)

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead on-site installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of Honeywell's security systems (access control, CCTV, intrusion detection) and fire alarm systems for commercial, industrial, and critical infrastructure clients.
  • Supervise a team of field service technicians, providing mentorship, training, and performance guidance to ensure compliance with safety standards and service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Conduct root cause analysis on system failures, implement preventive maintenance strategies, and deliver detailed technical reports to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with sales, engineering, and project management teams to develop customized service plans and upgrade recommendations for legacy and next-gen systems.
  • Ensure adherence to international regulations such as NFPA, EN54, UL, and local fire/security codes during all field activities.
  • Manage inventory, tools, and spare parts logistics for international deployments, optimizing efficiency and minimizing downtime.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including digital tools like IoT diagnostics and predictive analytics for proactive service delivery.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field (experience)
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in field service for security and fire safety systems (experience)
  • Proven leadership experience managing field service teams in a multinational environment (experience)
  • In-depth knowledge of security systems (CCTV, access control, intrusion detection) and fire alarm technologies (experience)
  • Ability to travel internationally (up to 50%) and work in hybrid on-site/remote settings (experience)
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to obtain relevant security clearances (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Engineering or related discipline (experience)
  • NICET Level III/IV certification or equivalent in fire alarm systems (experience)
  • Experience with Honeywell or competitor systems (e.g., Notifier, Cerberus, Siemens) (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Lead the installation, testing, and commissioning of complex security and fire detection systems on client sites
  • Diagnose and resolve advanced technical issues using diagnostic tools and system analytics
  • Train and mentor junior technicians on best practices, safety protocols, and Honeywell product knowledge
  • Prepare and present service reports, including KPIs, downtime metrics, and improvement recommendations
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met
  • Perform system upgrades and integrations with building management systems (BMS)
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations
