You will provide expert onsite and offsite technical support, develop intuitive system graphics, perform critical backups and updates, and ensure all work adheres to safety and compliance standards. Additionally, you will assist with system design, cost estimating, and seamless integration of advanced control systems, driving efficiency and innovation in commercial and industrial environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the installation, configuration, and commissioning of DDC controllers, sensors, actuators, and networked building automation systems (BAS).
  • Program and troubleshoot Niagara Framework, BACnet, Modbus, and LonWorks protocols to optimize HVAC performance.
  • Develop and customize system graphics using tools like Honeywell WEBs or Niagara Workstation for enhanced user interfaces.
  • Conduct comprehensive customer training sessions and provide ongoing technical support to ensure system reliability.
  • Perform routine backups, firmware updates, and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend system life.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on design reviews, cost estimates, and integration of third-party HVAC and mechanical systems.
  • Ensure strict compliance with OSHA, NEC, and local building codes while prioritizing site safety protocols.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Automation, or related technical field (experience)
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in DDC building automation systems installation, programming, and commissioning (experience)
  • Proven expertise in HVAC control systems and field service for commercial/industrial environments (experience)
  • Experience leading field teams and providing customer training on BAS platforms (experience)
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel up to 50% domestically (experience)
  • Ability to pass background checks and obtain necessary security clearances (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Niagara 4 or higher certification (Tridium Certified Associate/Professional) (experience)
  • BACnet Professional certification or Honeywell WEBs-N4 expertise (experience)
  • 7+ years in building automation with experience in system design and estimating (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Install, program, and commission DDC controllers and BAS components including sensors, valves, and VFDs
  • Develop and deploy custom graphics, alarms, and trends using Niagara AX/4 or WEBs platforms
  • Diagnose and resolve complex network issues across BACnet IP, Modbus TCP, and Ethernet protocols
  • Perform system backups, database migrations, and software upgrades with minimal disruption
  • Conduct site surveys, create as-built documentation, and assist in project estimating and proposals
  • Train end-users and facility staff on system operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance best practices
  • Ensure all installations meet safety standards, regulatory compliance, and Honeywell quality guidelines
