Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute comprehensive logistics strategies to streamline supply chain processes across transportation, warehousing, and distribution networks.
  • Coordinate with carriers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to optimize freight routing, reduce transit times, and minimize costs while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Oversee inventory control systems, implementing forecasting models and cycle counting to maintain optimal stock levels and prevent shortages or overstock.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in root cause analysis for logistics disruptions, developing corrective action plans to improve reliability and efficiency.
  • Utilize data analytics tools to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, fill rates, and total landed cost, generating reports for senior leadership.
  • Mentor junior associates, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and safety in warehouse operations.
  • Drive sustainability initiatives by identifying opportunities to reduce carbon footprint through efficient routing and packaging optimizations.

  • Experience leading teams and projects in warehousing, inventory management, and freight coordination (experience)
  • Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle, and logistics software like TMS or WMS (experience)
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in KPI tracking and process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Supply Chain Management or MBA (experience)
  • Professional certifications such as CSCP, CPIM, or Six Sigma Green Belt (experience)
  • Experience in aerospace or high-tech manufacturing supply chains (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize transportation modes, carrier selection, and routing for cost savings and efficiency gains
  • Manage warehousing operations, including layout optimization, labor planning, and safety compliance to support just-in-time inventory
  • Conduct inventory audits, demand forecasting, and replenishment planning using advanced analytics tools
  • Lead negotiations with suppliers and 3PL providers to secure favorable terms and ensure service level agreements are met
  • Analyze logistics data to identify bottlenecks, implement corrective actions, and report on performance metrics to stakeholders
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including procurement, production, and sales to align logistics with business objectives
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives, such as automation integration and sustainability practices, to enhance overall supply chain resilience
