Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of 8-12 manufacturing technicians on the 1st shift, providing hands-on guidance, performance coaching, and fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
  • Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain complex CNC machines, automated assembly lines, and precision welding equipment to meet production targets and quality specifications.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for production issues using Lean Six Sigma methodologies, implementing corrective actions to minimize downtime and defects.
  • Monitor and optimize manufacturing processes, including material flow, inventory control, and equipment calibration, to achieve KPIs for output, yield, and cost efficiency.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to support new product introductions (NPI) and process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with Honeywell's safety protocols, ISO 9001 standards, and environmental regulations through daily audits and training sessions.
  • Generate shift reports, track metrics using ERP systems like SAP, and recommend enhancements to boost operational performance.

  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies (experience)
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and manufacturing execution systems (MES) (experience)
  • Ability to read technical blueprints, schematics, and perform quality inspections (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related field (experience)
  • ASQ Certified Quality Technician (CQT) or Six Sigma Green Belt certification (experience)
  • Experience in aerospace or high-precision manufacturing industries (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Directly supervise 1st shift manufacturing technicians, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing real-time feedback to ensure production goals are met
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex equipment malfunctions, coordinating with maintenance teams to minimize unplanned downtime
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols, conducting daily toolbox talks and safety audits to maintain a zero-incident workplace
  • Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks, driving process optimizations that improve efficiency by 10-15%
  • Train and develop team members on new processes, equipment, and Honeywell's quality standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support engineering changes, new product launches, and cost reduction initiatives
  • Prepare and present shift performance reports to management, highlighting achievements and areas for improvement
