Location: Minneapolis, MN | Workplace: On-site | Shift: 2nd Shift (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM)

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of 8-12 manufacturing technicians during 2nd shift, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing hands-on coaching to optimize productivity and quality.
  • Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain advanced CNC machines, automated assembly lines, and robotic systems to meet daily production targets with zero defects.
  • Perform root cause analysis on equipment failures and process deviations using Lean Six Sigma methodologies, implementing corrective actions to minimize downtime.
  • Conduct quality inspections using precision measurement tools, ensuring compliance with Honeywell's stringent ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to resolve production bottlenecks and support new product introductions (NPI).
  • Drive safety protocols, including OSHA compliance, 5S implementation, and hazard identification, fostering a culture of zero incidents.
  • Update production metrics in ERP systems like SAP and generate shift reports for management review.

  • Proven experience operating CNC machines, PLC-controlled equipment, and automated production lines (experience)
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma (Green Belt preferred), and continuous improvement principles (experience)
  • Experience with quality management systems (ISO 9001/AS9100) and precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, CMM) (experience)
  • Ability to work 2nd shift (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM) and occasional overtime (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related field (experience)
  • Honeywell-specific certifications (e.g., Production Excellence, Safety Leadership) (experience)
  • Experience in aerospace or high-precision manufacturing environments (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and mentor 2nd shift manufacturing team to achieve production KPIs including OEE >85% and first-pass yield >98%
  • Troubleshoot and repair complex machinery, reducing mean time to repair (MTTR) through proactive maintenance strategies
  • Implement process improvements using Kaizen events and data-driven analysis to enhance throughput and reduce waste
  • Ensure 100% compliance with safety regulations, conducting daily toolbox talks and audits
  • Interface with cross-functional teams to support NPI trials and engineering change orders (ECOs)
  • Maintain accurate documentation of production logs, quality records, and inventory in SAP ERP system
  • Train new hires on standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices for high-reliability manufacturing
