Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end design and development of mechanical components and assemblies for repair and overhaul (R&O) applications, utilizing tools like SolidWorks, CATIA, or NX.
- Mentor and guide a team of engineers, conducting design reviews, FEA simulations, and tolerance stack-up analyses to optimize product performance.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to ensure designs are producible, cost-effective, and compliant with aerospace standards such as AS9100 and FAA regulations.
- Develop and validate prototypes through rigorous testing protocols, including vibration, thermal cycling, and fatigue analysis.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by applying Lean Six Sigma methodologies to reduce design cycle times and enhance reliability.
- Interface with customers and stakeholders to translate requirements into robust engineering solutions, managing project timelines and budgets effectively.

- Strong understanding of GD&T, materials science, and manufacturing processes relevant to aerospace components (experience)
- Experience with regulatory compliance in aerospace (e.g., FAA, EASA, AS9100) (experience)
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline (experience)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification (e.g., Six Sigma Green Belt) (experience)
- Experience leading projects in MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) for turbine engines or airframes (experience)
Responsibilities
- Lead the conceptual and detailed design of mechanical components and assemblies using advanced CAD and simulation tools
- Conduct finite element analysis (FEA), kinematic simulations, and tolerance analyses to validate designs
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct technical reviews to ensure design quality and adherence to standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, testing, and procurement to transition designs to production
- Develop test plans and oversee prototype validation, including environmental and durability testing
- Identify and implement design improvements for cost reduction, weight optimization, and enhanced reliability
- Prepare technical documentation, including design reports, drawings, and certification packages
