- Familiarity with space industry standards (e.g., ECSS, NASA-STD) and regulatory requirements (experience)
- Ability to obtain security clearance for international space projects (experience)
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering or related field (experience)
- PMP certification or equivalent project management credential (experience)
- Experience with space propulsion systems, avionics, or GNC (Guidance, Navigation, and Control) (experience)
Responsibilities
- Lead the full project lifecycle from concept through design, development, testing, and deployment of space systems
- Mentor and guide engineering teams, conducting performance reviews and technical training sessions
- Perform risk assessments, mitigation planning, and failure mode analysis for space hardware
- Collaborate with international stakeholders to align on technical requirements and deliverables
- Develop innovative solutions using modeling tools like MATLAB/Simulink or STK for mission simulations
- Oversee integration and verification testing in simulated space environments (e.g., thermal vacuum chambers)
- Prepare and present technical reports, proposals, and briefings to senior leadership and clients
