Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the architecture and design of multi-domain systems, including hardware-software integration for aerospace applications.

  • Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with stakeholders to resolve complex technical challenges.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field (experience)
  • 8+ years of experience in systems engineering for complex hardware-software systems, preferably in aerospace or defense (experience)
  • Proven track record of leading systems design and integration projects from concept to deployment (experience)
  • Experience with systems engineering tools such as DOORS, Cameo Systems Modeler, or MATLAB/Simulink (experience)
  • Strong understanding of industry standards including ARP4754A, ARP4761, and MIL-STD-498 (experience)
  • U.S. citizenship or ability to obtain security clearance (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Systems Engineering or related field (experience)
  • INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) or equivalent certification (experience)
  • Experience with agile methodologies in safety-critical systems development (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership in defining system architecture and requirements for multi-disciplinary projects
  • Lead design reviews, trade studies, and risk assessments to optimize system performance and reliability
  • Coordinate integration and testing of subsystems, resolving interface issues across hardware, software, and firmware
  • Mentor and develop engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with program management, customers, and suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of high-quality systems
  • Implement MBSE practices to model, simulate, and verify system behavior throughout the lifecycle
  • Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for system anomalies during development and operations
