Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, Industrial Design, or a related field (experience)
  • 7+ years of professional experience in UX/UI design, with at least 3 years in a lead or senior role (experience)
  • Proven portfolio showcasing user-centered design for complex enterprise software or hardware products (experience)
  • Experience designing for regulated industries such as aerospace, manufacturing, or IoT (experience)
  • Strong proficiency in design tools and prototyping software (experience)
  • Excellent communication skills with experience presenting to executives and stakeholders (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in UX Design, HCI, or equivalent (experience)
  • Certifications in UX research (e.g., Nielsen Norman Group) or accessibility (e.g., CPACC) (experience)
  • Experience with AR/VR interfaces or AI-driven user experiences (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end UX design processes from research and ideation to high-fidelity prototyping and iteration
  • Conduct comprehensive user research and usability testing to identify pain points and opportunities in Honeywell's product ecosystem
  • Mentor and guide a team of 4-6 UX designers, conducting performance reviews and skill development
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and business teams to align designs with technical feasibility and market needs
  • Develop and maintain scalable design systems using tools like Figma and Adobe XD for multi-platform consistency
  • Ensure all designs meet accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA) and Honeywell's safety/compliance requirements
  • Analyze user data and metrics to measure design impact and drive continuous improvement
