Key Responsibilities

  • Operate, set up, and adjust CNC machines, injection molding equipment, and assembly lines to produce electrical components such as sockets and switches according to precise specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs on machinery to minimize downtime and ensure optimal production output.
  • Conduct quality inspections using tools like calipers, micrometers, and gauges, ensuring all products meet Honeywell's ISO-certified standards and client requirements.
  • Monitor production processes, adjust machine parameters for efficiency, and record data in digital systems for traceability and reporting.
  • Collaborate with engineers and quality teams to implement process improvements and resolve production issues promptly.
  • Adhere to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures and PPE usage.
  • Load raw materials, manage inventory, and support shift handovers to maintain seamless operations.

  • 3+ years of experience as a machine setter/operator in a high-volume manufacturing environment (experience)
  • Proficiency in operating CNC machines, injection molding, and automated assembly equipment (experience)
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings, tolerances, and GD&T principles (experience)
  • Experience with quality control tools and lean manufacturing principles (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Machine Setting or Electrical Manufacturing (experience)
  • Experience in producing electrical components or wiring devices (experience)
  • Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems for production tracking (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Set up and calibrate production machines for 13-amp sockets and switches, ensuring alignment with technical drawings and specifications
  • Operate machinery to achieve production targets while maintaining zero-defect quality standards
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, or pneumatic faults to sustain 24/7 operations
  • Perform in-process inspections and document results using digital quality management systems
  • Implement 5S and Kaizen methodologies to optimize workspace and reduce waste
  • Train junior operators and participate in safety audits and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Manage material changes and tool setups to support multiple product runs efficiently
