Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and program advanced CNC mills, lathes, and multi-axis machining centers to produce complex parts with tight tolerances.
  • Lead, mentor, and schedule a team of 5-10 technicians, ensuring adherence to production schedules and safety protocols.
  • Perform tool setup, fixturing, and first-article inspections using precision measuring tools like CMMs, micrometers, and calipers.
  • Optimize machining processes for efficiency, reducing cycle times and material waste while maintaining ASME Y14.5 GD&T standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to troubleshoot issues, implement continuous improvements, and resolve non-conformances.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on equipment and maintain detailed production records in Honeywell's ERP system.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, ISO 9001, and Honeywell safety policies in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

  • Proficiency in programming and operating CNC multi-axis machines (e.g., Haas, Mazak, DMG Mori) (experience)
  • Strong blueprint reading skills and expertise in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5 (experience)
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma Green Belt preferred) (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or higher in Manufacturing Technology, Precision Machining, or related field (experience)
  • ASQ Certified Quality Technician (CQT) or NIMS CNC credentials (experience)
  • Experience in aerospace machining with familiarity of ITAR regulations and special processes like titanium or inconel (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Set up, program, and operate CNC mills, lathes, and grinders to manufacture precision components meeting exact specifications
  • Lead and train a team of technicians, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and fostering a safety-first culture
  • Inspect machined parts using advanced metrology tools, ensuring 100% compliance with quality standards and customer requirements
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance throughput, reduce scrap rates, and optimize tooling strategies
  • Collaborate with design engineers to provide manufacturability feedback and support new product introductions (NPI)
  • Maintain equipment through routine maintenance, troubleshoot failures, and coordinate with maintenance teams as needed
  • Document production activities, generate reports, and drive root cause analysis for any deviations using Honeywell's digital tools
