Key Responsibilities
- Assist in designing and simulating electrical systems for aerospace and industrial applications using tools like MATLAB/Simulink and Altium Designer.
- Support prototyping, testing, and validation of circuit boards and power electronics under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Analyze system performance data to identify improvements in efficiency, reliability, and compliance with industry standards such as IPC and MIL-STD.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers and software developers, to integrate electrical subsystems into larger product architectures.
- Document technical findings, prepare reports, and present results during team reviews and project milestones.

- Hands-on experience with electrical engineering coursework, labs, or personal projects involving circuits, embedded systems, or power electronics (experience)
- Familiarity with industry-standard tools such as MATLAB, LTSpice, or PCB design software (experience)
- Legal authorization to work in Canada (or eligibility for internship visa) (experience)
- Availability for hybrid work in Mississauga, ON for 6-12 months (co-op or summer term) (experience)
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior internship or co-op experience in electrical engineering within aerospace, automation, or manufacturing (experience)
- Knowledge of embedded systems programming (C/C++) or FPGA design (experience)
- Relevant certifications such as IPC-A-610 or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) (experience)
Responsibilities
- Design and simulate analog/digital circuits and power distribution systems for industrial and aerospace applications
- Prototype and test electrical hardware, including PCB assembly, soldering, and functional verification
- Perform data analysis and modeling to optimize system performance, EMC compliance, and thermal management
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate electrical designs into full product systems
- Conduct failure analysis, root cause investigations, and implement corrective actions
- Document designs, test results, and engineering changes using Honeywell's PLM tools
- Support senior engineers in preparing for design reviews and customer demonstrations
