Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop advanced mechanical components and assemblies using state-of-the-art CAD tools like Creo or SolidWorks.
  • Perform detailed stress analysis, tolerance stack-ups, and finite element analysis (FEA) to ensure product reliability and performance.
  • Lead design reviews, prototype development, and testing phases to validate designs against rigorous industry standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, and systems engineering to optimize designs for producibility and cost.
  • Generate comprehensive technical documentation, including 2D drawings, BOMs, and design specifications compliant with ASME Y14.5 GD&T standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical design issues during development and production phases.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by incorporating DFMEA and DFM/DFA methodologies.

  • Strong knowledge of GD&T (ASME Y14.5), tolerance analysis, and mechanical drafting standards (experience)
  • Experience with FEA tools like ANSYS or similar for structural and thermal analysis (experience)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline (experience)
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (experience)
  • Experience with aerospace materials, manufacturing processes, and regulatory standards (e.g., FAA, AS9100) (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop complex mechanical systems and components using advanced CAD modeling techniques
  • Conduct detailed engineering analyses including FEA, kinematic simulations, and tolerance studies to validate designs
  • Lead design verification and validation testing, including prototype fabrication and assembly
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and supply chain teams to ensure designs are optimized for production and cost efficiency

  • Identify and implement design improvements through root cause analysis and lean methodologies
