Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop complex mechanical components and assemblies using advanced CAD tools like SolidWorks or Creo.
- Perform detailed engineering analysis, including tolerance stack-ups, FEA simulations, and kinematic studies to validate designs.
- Lead design reviews and prototyping efforts to iterate on solutions for manufacturability and cost optimization.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless transition from design to production.
- Conduct failure mode analysis (FMEA) and risk assessments to enhance product reliability under extreme conditions.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in design processes.
- Support testing, validation, and certification of mechanical systems to meet industry standards such as AS9100.

- Hands-on experience with mechanical prototyping, testing, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) (experience)
- Strong understanding of materials science, manufacturing processes, and mechanical analysis tools (experience)
- Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance if required for specific projects (experience)
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline (experience)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (experience)
- Experience with aerospace standards (e.g., DO-160, MIL-STD) and finite element analysis (FEA) software like ANSYS (experience)
Responsibilities
- Design and develop innovative mechanical solutions for complex systems using CAD and simulation tools
- Conduct detailed stress, thermal, and vibration analyses to ensure design robustness and compliance
- Lead design verification testing, including fixture development and data analysis for product validation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical designs with electrical and software components
- Optimize designs for manufacturability, cost reduction, and supply chain feasibility through DFMA principles
- Document designs, generate engineering drawings, and maintain BOMs in PLM systems like Teamcenter
- Drive root cause analysis for design issues and implement corrective actions to improve reliability
