- Lead design reviews and prototyping efforts, iterating based on test data and feedback to optimize manufacturability and cost.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to transition designs from concept to production seamlessly.
- Conduct failure mode analysis (FMEA) and risk assessments to mitigate potential issues in complex mechanical systems.
- Support product lifecycle management, including updates, obsolescence management, and continuous improvement initiatives.

- Hands-on experience with prototyping, testing, and validation of mechanical systems (experience)
- Strong understanding of GD&T, materials science, and manufacturing processes (experience)
- Ability to obtain security clearance if required for specific projects (experience)
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline (experience)
- Professional certification such as Certified SolidWorks Professional (CSWP) or Six Sigma Green Belt (experience)
- Experience with aerospace standards (e.g., AS9100) or finite element analysis tools like ANSYS (experience)
Responsibilities
- Design and develop innovative mechanical solutions for complex products using CAD and simulation tools
- Conduct engineering analyses including stress, thermal, and vibration simulations to validate designs
- Lead cross-functional design reviews and provide technical guidance to junior engineers
- Prototype and test mechanical assemblies, analyzing results to drive design iterations
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are producible and cost-effective
- Perform risk assessments and FMEA to enhance product reliability and safety
- Document designs, specifications, and test reports in compliance with industry standards
