Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement global procurement strategies for metals (e.g., aluminum, steel, titanium, nickel alloys) to achieve lowest total cost of ownership while mitigating supply risks.
  • Conduct market analysis, supplier evaluations, and negotiations to secure long-term contracts that support business growth and cost reduction targets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, finance, and operations to align sourcing decisions with product development and production needs.
  • Monitor commodity market trends, geopolitical factors, and raw material pricing to proactively manage risks and opportunities.
  • Drive supplier relationship management, performance metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain resilience.
  • Lead RFx processes, supplier audits, and strategic sourcing projects, ensuring compliance with Honeywell's ethical sourcing and sustainability standards.

  • Proven track record managing metals commodities (e.g., ferrous/non-ferrous metals, alloys) with demonstrated cost savings achievements (experience)
  • Experience in supplier negotiations, contract management, and global supply chain risk mitigation (experience)
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and sourcing tools (experience)
  • Ability to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, MBA, or equivalent (experience)
  • Professional certifications such as CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management), CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional), or Six Sigma Green Belt (experience)
  • Experience in aerospace or industrial manufacturing sectors with knowledge of ITAR/DFARS regulations (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute end-to-end procurement strategies for metals commodities to achieve 10-15% annual cost reductions and working capital optimization
  • Lead supplier selection, qualification, and development processes, including RFPs, auctions, and performance scorecards
  • Analyze global market intelligence on metals pricing, supply/demand forecasts, and hedge strategies to ensure supply continuity
  • Collaborate with engineering and R&D teams to specify material requirements and support new product introductions (NPI)
  • Develop and manage strategic supplier partnerships, conducting quarterly business reviews and joint improvement projects
  • Implement risk management frameworks, including dual-sourcing, inventory strategies, and contingency planning for disruptions
  • Report sourcing KPIs to senior leadership, utilizing data analytics to drive strategic decisions and compliance
