Job Overview

As a Mitarbeiter (m/w/d) für Bauteilreinigung und Fertigungsqualität at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in our advanced manufacturing operations, focusing on the cleaning, preparation, and quality assurance of precision components for aerospace and industrial systems. Reporting directly to the Production Supervisor, you’ll work out of our state-of-the-art facility in München, Bayern, Germany on a hybrid schedule, blending on-site hands-on work with flexible remote options for administrative tasks. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform meticulous cleaning, deburring, and surface preparation of mechanical parts using ultrasonic cleaners, chemical baths, and precision hand tools to meet stringent aerospace standards.
  • Conduct in-process and final quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, CMMs, and visual aids to verify dimensional accuracy and surface integrity.
  • Assemble tested components into sub-assemblies following detailed blueprints, work instructions, and Honeywell's quality management system (ISO 9001/AS9100 compliant).
  • Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations, including proper handling of hazardous materials.
  • Document all processes, defects, and corrective actions in our digital quality tracking system (e.g., SAP or similar ERP).
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot quality issues and implement continuous improvement initiatives like Lean Six Sigma.
  • Support inventory management by organizing cleaned parts and maintaining FIFO (First In, First Out) protocols.

  • Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, and geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T) (experience)
  • Proficiency in using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt) or quality inspection (e.g., VDA 6.3) (experience)
  • Experience with ultrasonic cleaning systems or chemical processing in a regulated industry (experience)
  • SAP or ERP system experience in manufacturing environments (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Execute component cleaning processes including ultrasonic, solvent, and abrasive methods to remove contaminants and achieve specified surface finishes
  • Perform detailed visual and dimensional inspections to identify and quarantine non-conforming parts per Honeywell quality protocols
  • Assemble and test mechanical sub-components using torque tools, presses, and fixtures while adhering to work instructions
  • Maintain accurate records of cleaning parameters, inspection results, and process deviations in digital systems
  • Identify root causes of quality defects using tools like fishbone diagrams and implement corrective actions
  • Calibrate and perform routine maintenance on cleaning and inspection equipment to ensure operational reliability
  • Participate in team huddles and kaizen events to drive process improvements and reduce cycle times
