Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble intricate mechanical components using hand tools, fixtures, and precision instruments to exact specifications.
  • Perform hand-finishing operations such as deburring, polishing, filing, and grinding to ensure surface quality and dimensional accuracy.
  • Conduct functional and quality tests on assembled systems, identifying and correcting defects to maintain zero-tolerance standards.
  • Follow detailed work instructions, blueprints, and Honeywell's quality management system (ISO 9001/AS9100 compliant).
  • Maintain a clean, organized workstation and adhere to 5S and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Collaborate with quality inspectors and engineers to resolve assembly issues and implement process improvements.

  • Precisely assemble mechanical subassemblies and final products using hand-finishing techniques to achieve micron-level tolerances
  • Execute deburring, polishing, and surface treatment processes on metal and composite components to meet cosmetic and functional requirements
  • Perform in-process inspections and leak tests on assemblies, documenting results and escalating issues promptly
  • Operate manual and semi-automated finishing equipment while adhering to production schedules and efficiency targets
  • Identify process inefficiencies and propose kaizen improvements to enhance quality and throughput
  • Maintain inventory of tools and materials, ensuring compliance with Honeywell's safety and environmental protocols
  • Support root cause analysis for defects using tools like 8D methodology
