Injection Molding Trainer
Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver comprehensive training programs on injection molding machines, including setup, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance for Arburg, Engel, and similar equipment.
- Conduct hands-on workshops and simulations to train production operators, technicians, and engineers on best practices, safety protocols, and quality control in injection molding processes.
- Assess trainee performance, provide personalized feedback, and develop certification pathways to enhance team competencies and reduce downtime.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify skill gaps and customize training modules based on real-world production challenges and new technology implementations.
- Monitor and report on training effectiveness using KPIs such as cycle time reduction, defect rates, and operator proficiency scores.
- Stay abreast of industry advancements in injection molding, materials science, and automation to integrate cutting-edge techniques into training curricula.
- Support international sites by delivering virtual and on-site training sessions, fostering a culture of continuous improvement across Honeywell's global operations.

- 3+ years of experience in technical training, adult education, or instructional design within a manufacturing setting (experience)
- Proven track record of training operators on injection molding equipment from brands like Arburg, Engel, or Husky (experience)
- Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and Six Sigma methodologies (experience)
- Ability to travel internationally up to 30% for on-site training sessions (experience)
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Engineering or Industrial Training (experience)
- RJG Master Molder or similar injection molding certification (experience)
- Experience with Industry 4.0 technologies, including IoT-enabled molding machines and digital twins (experience)
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement tailored training curricula for injection molding processes, from basic operation to advanced troubleshooting
- Lead practical training sessions, simulations, and assessments to certify operators and achieve 95%+ proficiency rates
- Analyze production data to identify training needs and measure program ROI through metrics like OEE improvements
- Collaborate with R&D and quality teams to incorporate new materials and mold designs into training programs
- Mentor junior trainers and facilitate knowledge transfer across Honeywell's international manufacturing sites
- Ensure all training complies with safety regulations (e.g., OSHA, EU Machinery Directive) and promotes zero-incident environments
- Update training materials based on emerging trends in sustainable plastics and high-speed molding techniques
