Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of mechanical parts and assemblies using precision tools such as micrometers, calipers, CMMs, and borescopes to verify compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and Honeywell quality standards.
  • Perform non-destructive testing (NDT) methods including dye penetrant, magnetic particle, and ultrasonic inspections to detect surface and subsurface defects in high-precision components.
  • Document inspection results accurately in digital quality management systems (QMS), generate detailed reports, and initiate non-conformance reports (NCRs) for discrepant parts, ensuring traceability and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with production teams, engineers, and suppliers to resolve quality issues, recommend corrective actions, and support root cause analysis using tools like 8D and Fishbone diagrams.
  • Maintain calibrated inspection equipment, adhere to 5S workplace organization principles, and ensure a safe, clean production environment compliant with ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards.
  • Train junior inspectors and participate in internal audits to uphold Honeywell's commitment to zero-defect manufacturing and operational excellence.
  • Monitor production processes for potential quality risks and contribute to process optimization initiatives to enhance throughput and reliability.

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in parts inspection or quality control within aerospace, automotive, or manufacturing industries (experience)
  • Proficiency in using precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, CMM) and non-destructive testing (NDT) methods (experience)
  • Familiarity with quality standards such as ISO 9001, AS9100, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) (experience)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications (experience)
  • Strong documentation skills with experience in quality management systems (e.g., SAP QM or similar) (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • NDT Level II certification (e.g., according to EN ISO 9712) (experience)
  • Experience in aerospace manufacturing or with Honeywell products (experience)
  • ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) or equivalent (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Execute detailed inspections of incoming, in-process, and finished mechanical parts to ensure 100% conformance to specifications
  • Identify and quarantine non-conforming parts, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective/preventive actions
  • Calibrate and maintain inspection equipment, ensuring traceability and compliance with calibration standards
  • Generate inspection reports, statistical process control (SPC) data, and support supplier quality audits
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve quality discrepancies and drive process improvements
  • Conduct training sessions for team members on inspection techniques and quality protocols
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects, such as Lean Six Sigma initiatives, to optimize inspection efficiency
