Principal Channel Sales Representative

Location: International (Hybrid)

Role Overview

As a Principal Channel Sales Rep, you will be the strategic leader for Honeywell’s channel ecosystem, focusing on building and expanding partnerships with distributors, resellers, and system integrators in the industrial automation, aerospace, and building technologies sectors. Reporting to the Director of Channel Sales, you will spearhead revenue growth through innovative channel programs, leveraging Honeywell’s cutting-edge portfolio of IoT-enabled solutions, safety systems, and productivity software. This hybrid role offers flexibility to work from key international hubs while engaging with global partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive channel sales strategies to achieve annual revenue targets exceeding $50M across assigned international regions.
  • Recruit, onboard, and certify new channel partners, ensuring alignment with Honeywell’s partner program tiers and performance metrics.
  • Conduct joint business planning sessions with top-tier partners to identify opportunities in emerging markets like APAC and EMEA.
  • Negotiate channel contracts, incentive programs, and pricing models to maximize partner profitability and Honeywell margins.
  • Lead channel enablement initiatives, including training on Honeywell products, digital sales tools, and co-marketing campaigns.
  • Analyze sales performance data using CRM tools to provide actionable insights and drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product management, marketing, and technical support teams to deliver exceptional partner experiences.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field (experience)
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in channel sales, partner management, or business development within the industrial technology or manufacturing sector (experience)
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding $20M+ annual channel sales quotas (experience)
  • Deep knowledge of international markets, with experience in APAC, EMEA, or Latin America (experience)
  • Strong understanding of CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and sales analytics tools (experience)
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with fluency in English and proficiency in at least one additional language (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) (experience)
  • Certifications such as Certified Channel Sales Professional (CCSP) or Honeywell Partner Program accreditation (experience)
  • Experience with IoT, automation, or aerospace technologies (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement channel partner recruitment and growth strategies to expand Honeywell's global footprint
  • Lead negotiation of multi-year channel agreements, including rebates, MDF funding, and SPIFs
  • Orchestrate partner enablement programs, delivering virtual and in-person training on Honeywell's product portfolio
  • Monitor and forecast channel pipeline, providing weekly executive reports on performance metrics
  • Cultivate relationships with key distributor executives to co-develop market penetration plans
  • Drive joint marketing initiatives, such as webinars, trade shows, and digital campaigns with partners
  • Resolve escalated partner issues through cross-functional collaboration with technical and support teams
