We are currently seeking a Procurement Buyer I - Temporary to join our dynamic Aftermarket Sourcing & Procurement team in Monterrey, Mexico. This entry-level role is on-site and reports directly to our Sourcing & Procurement Leads. As a key contributor, you will support procurement and purchasing activities, ensuring efficient processes, cost-effectiveness, and supply chain reliability for our aftermarket business unit. This temporary position offers hands-on experience in a global leader's supply chain operations, with opportunities to grow within Honeywell's innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and procure materials, components, and services for aftermarket products by analyzing requirements, identifying suppliers, and negotiating terms.
- Place purchase orders, track deliveries, and resolve issues to maintain inventory levels and production schedules.
- Conduct supplier evaluations, perform risk assessments, and ensure compliance with Honeywell's quality and ethical standards.
- Analyze market trends, pricing, and total cost of ownership to achieve cost savings and optimize procurement strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, and finance to align procurement with business needs.
- Maintain accurate records in ERP systems and generate reports on procurement metrics, savings, and performance.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes and enhance supplier relationships.

Summary
As a Procurement Buyer I here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for supporting the procurement and purchasing activities within the organization. This entry-level position plays a vital role in ensuring efficient procurement processes and cost-effectiveness. You will be supporting our Aftermarket side of our Business, reporting directly to our Sourcing & Procurement Leads. This position will be based out of our Monterrey location on a On Site work schedule.

- CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) or equivalent certification (experience)
- Experience in aftermarket or manufacturing industries (experience)
- Knowledge of aerospace supply chain regulations and standards (experience)
Responsibilities
- Identify and qualify suppliers for aftermarket parts and services through RFQs and competitive bidding processes
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to secure best value while minimizing risks
- Monitor supplier performance using KPIs and implement corrective actions as needed
- Manage purchase requisitions, issue POs, and expedite orders to meet production deadlines
- Conduct cost analysis and identify opportunities for savings through volume purchasing or alternative sourcing
- Ensure compliance with Honeywell's procurement policies, ethics code, and import/export regulations
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to forecast demand and optimize inventory levels
