Key Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize, sketch, and develop industrial product designs from ideation to prototyping, ensuring ergonomic, aesthetic, and functional excellence.
  • Conduct user research, create personas, and perform usability testing to inform human-centered design decisions for industrial applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, and marketing to integrate design into production-ready solutions.
  • Utilize 3D modeling software to produce detailed renders, CAD models, and physical prototypes for stakeholder reviews.
  • Ensure designs meet regulatory standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO) and sustainability goals, optimizing for manufacturability and cost-efficiency.
  • Present design concepts and iterations to leadership, incorporating feedback to refine products for market success.

  • 5+ years of professional experience in industrial product design for manufacturing or aerospace sectors (experience)
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Rhino, Fusion 360) and rendering tools (e.g., KeyShot, Blender) (experience)
  • Demonstrated portfolio showcasing end-to-end product design projects (experience)
  • Experience with prototyping techniques including 3D printing and CNC machining (experience)
  • Knowledge of design for manufacturability (DFM) and regulatory compliance in industrial products (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Industrial Design or Human Factors Engineering (experience)
  • Certifications in UX/UI design or sustainable design practices (experience)
  • Experience designing for aerospace, automation, or safety-critical industries (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Lead the full design lifecycle from concept sketches to production-ready models for industrial hardware
  • Perform ergonomic analysis and user-centered research to optimize product usability in harsh environments
  • Develop detailed 3D models, technical drawings, and BOMs in collaboration with engineering teams
  • Prototype and iterate designs using rapid prototyping methods to validate form, fit, and function
  • Conduct competitive analysis and trend research to innovate Honeywell's product portfolio
  • Facilitate design reviews and present solutions to stakeholders using compelling visualizations
  • Integrate sustainability principles, reducing material use and enhancing recyclability in designs
