Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze program schedules, budgets, and risks using tools like Microsoft Project and Primavera to ensure alignment with project milestones.
  • Develop and maintain program control dashboards and reports, providing actionable insights to senior leadership on program performance metrics.
  • Support earned value management (EVM) processes, tracking cost and schedule variances to facilitate proactive decision-making.
  • Coordinate with engineering, supply chain, and finance teams to resolve program control issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Assist in the preparation of program reviews and gate reviews, compiling data and presenting findings to stakeholders.
  • Contribute to process improvements in program controls, documenting best practices and recommending enhancements for global adoption.
  • Manage a personal project portfolio, delivering results that demonstrate initiative and technical proficiency.

Summary

Program Controls internship is an opportunity to join Project Management team within Honeywell Aerospace to work on projects with real impact on the industry. What is more, you may get full time job offer upon successful completion of internship. In your internship role, you will be part of our global Program Controls team supporting development programs and will be assigned an independent project portfolio to be responsible for. You will report directly to our Program Controls Manager and you’ll work out of our Brno location on a Hybrid work schedule.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting (experience)
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data sets (experience)
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal (experience)
  • Availability for a 6-12 month internship commitment on a hybrid schedule in Brno (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior internship or coursework experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or program controls (experience)
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Primavera, or Jira (experience)
  • Pursuing or holding a PMP certification or equivalent (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Track and report on program progress, identifying variances in schedule, cost, and scope using EVM methodologies
  • Create and update integrated master schedules for development programs, ensuring dependencies and critical paths are accurately represented
  • Analyze risk registers and develop mitigation strategies in collaboration with program leads
  • Generate weekly and monthly program status reports, including KPIs and forecasts for executive review
  • Facilitate cross-functional meetings to align on program controls and resolve discrepancies
  • Support budgeting processes by forecasting resource needs and monitoring expenditures
  • Document lessons learned from projects to enhance future program control practices
