Overview

As a Program Manager at Honeywell, you will lead complex, high-impact programs in our Aerospace or Building Technologies divisions, ensuring on-time delivery, budget adherence, and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive program plans, including scope, schedule, budget, risk management, and resource allocation for aerospace systems or intelligent building projects.
  • Lead cross-functional teams of engineers, suppliers, and stakeholders to deliver program milestones, resolving issues proactively to meet contractual obligations.
  • Monitor program performance using earned value management (EVM) and key performance indicators (KPIs), implementing corrective actions to mitigate risks and ensure profitability.
  • Facilitate regular customer reviews, status reports, and gate reviews, fostering strong relationships to secure follow-on business and upsell opportunities.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, applying Lean Six Sigma methodologies to optimize processes and reduce program costs.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations such as AS9100, ITAR, and FAA standards, while managing change control processes.
  • Collaborate with sales, finance, and quality teams to align program execution with business objectives.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related technical field (experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in program or project management within aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or building automation industries (experience)
  • Proven track record managing complex programs with budgets exceeding $5M and multi-year timelines (experience)
  • Experience with program management tools such as MS Project, Primavera, or Jira (experience)
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent (experience)
  • Strong understanding of contractual and financial management principles (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Engineering Management, MBA, or related field (experience)
  • Experience in Honeywell or similar Fortune 100 environments (experience)
  • Certifications such as Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or IPMA Level C (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Define program objectives, develop detailed work breakdown structures (WBS), and establish baselines for schedule and cost control
  • Lead integrated program teams, conducting regular reviews and providing leadership to achieve critical milestones
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks using standardized tools and frameworks like FMEA or Monte Carlo simulations
  • Manage supplier and subcontractor performance, ensuring alignment with program goals and quality standards
  • Prepare and present executive-level program status reports, including financial forecasts and variance analysis
  • Drive root cause analysis for program deviations and implement corrective/preventive actions
  • Support business development by contributing to proposals, RFPs, and customer negotiations
