As a Program Specialist II, reporting under limited supervision, you will take complete ownership for the successful execution of assigned projects tailored to the Japan region. Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute, and monitor complex projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with customer requirements, budgets, timelines, and Honeywell quality standards.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and field services, to resolve technical challenges and optimize project deliverables specific to Japan market needs.
  • Manage stakeholder communications, including regular status updates, risk assessments, and change management for regional clients in the turbomachinery sector.
  • Conduct project reviews, analyze performance metrics, and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks and enhance efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with international regulations, safety protocols, and Honeywell's integrity standards throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by leveraging lessons learned to refine processes for future Japan-region projects.

Salary

  • Proven track record of managing projects valued at $1M+ from start to finish (experience)
  • Experience working in the Japan region or with Japanese clients, including familiarity with local business practices (experience)
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies such as PMI/PMBOK or Agile (experience)
  • Ability to travel internationally as needed (up to 25%) (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Engineering or Business Administration (experience)
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification (experience)
  • Experience with turbomachinery control systems or Honeywell products (experience)
  • Japanese language proficiency (business level) (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets for Japan-region turbomachinery control projects
  • Lead cross-functional teams to design, implement, and commission control solutions meeting customer specifications
  • Identify and mitigate project risks through proactive analysis and contingency planning
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings, negotiate contracts, and manage change orders to ensure project success
  • Monitor project performance using KPIs, prepare executive reports, and drive corrective actions
  • Collaborate with sales, engineering, and supply chain teams to align on deliverables and resolve issues
  • Ensure all projects adhere to Honeywell safety, quality, and regulatory standards
