The Project Engineer II role is pivotal in driving Honeywell's aerospace, building technologies, and performance materials initiatives. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of engineering projects in aerospace systems or building automation technologies.

  • Conduct technical analysis, simulations, and testing to optimize system performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including R&D, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to integrate innovative solutions.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring compliance with industry standards such as AS9100 and ISO 9001.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports, presentations, and documentation for stakeholders and regulatory bodies.

  • 5+ years of experience in project engineering within aerospace, automation, or manufacturing industries (experience)
  • Proven track record of managing engineering projects from inception to completion (experience)
  • Proficiency in engineering design software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or MATLAB (experience)
  • Experience with project management methodologies like Agile, Waterfall, or PMP principles (experience)
  • Strong understanding of regulatory standards (e.g., FAA, EASA, ISO) relevant to engineering projects (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Engineering or a related discipline (experience)
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or PMP certification (experience)
  • International project experience in multicultural environments (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end project execution, including scoping, planning, resource allocation, and delivery of engineering solutions
  • Perform detailed engineering design, analysis, and prototyping for systems in aerospace or building technologies
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to integrate hardware, software, and firmware components
  • Conduct risk assessments, failure mode analysis (FMEA), and validation testing to ensure product reliability
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and performance metrics using tools like MS Project or Primavera
  • Interface with suppliers and vendors to source components and resolve technical issues
  • Generate comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications and compliance reports
