Role Overview

As a Project Engineer I Intern, you will support engineering projects in aerospace, automation, or building technologies, gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic, global environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design, analysis, and testing of engineering systems using CAD software and simulation tools.
  • Support project planning by developing schedules, tracking milestones, and identifying risks using tools like MS Project or Primavera.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate components and ensure compliance with industry standards such as AS9100 or ISO 9001.
  • Conduct data analysis and prepare technical reports to document project progress and outcomes.
  • Participate in design reviews and prototyping activities to iterate on solutions for performance optimization.
  • Contribute to innovation initiatives by researching emerging technologies in automation or aerospace systems.

  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 or equivalent (experience)
  • Legal authorization to work in the assigned international location without sponsorship (experience)
  • Proficiency in English; additional language skills preferred for international collaboration (experience)
  • Available for hybrid work arrangement (2-3 days in office per week) (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior internship or co-op experience in engineering projects (experience)
  • Familiarity with Honeywell products or aerospace/automation industry (experience)
  • Relevant certifications such as Six Sigma Green Belt or CAD proficiency (e.g., SolidWorks) (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Support the design and modeling of mechanical or electrical systems using tools like SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or MATLAB
  • Assist in project execution by monitoring timelines, budgets, and deliverables in collaboration with senior engineers
  • Perform data collection, analysis, and visualization to support decision-making and root cause analysis
  • Contribute to technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and test reports
  • Participate in team meetings, design reviews, and prototyping to ensure project alignment with requirements
  • Identify process improvements and implement basic automation scripts or simulations
  • Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards in all project activities
