Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct root cause analysis using structured methodologies like 8D, 5-Why, and Fishbone diagrams to investigate warranty returns and quality escapes.
  • Analyze COPQ data to identify trends, quantify impacts, and implement corrective actions that reduce defects and rework costs.
  • Develop and execute continual improvement projects leveraging Lean Six Sigma principles to enhance process efficiency and product reliability.
  • Perform supplier quality assessments, audits, and scorecard management to ensure compliance with Honeywell's supply chain standards.
  • Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and customer service teams to disposition non-conforming materials and implement preventive measures.
  • Maintain quality documentation, including control plans, FMEAs, and PPAPs, while supporting internal and external audits.
  • Utilize statistical tools such as Minitab or JMP for process capability analysis (Cp/Cpk) and data-driven decision making.

  • 2-4 years of experience in quality engineering, preferably within aerospace, automotive, or manufacturing industries (experience)
  • Proficiency in quality management systems (QMS) such as AS9100, ISO 9001, or IATF 16949 (experience)
  • Hands-on experience with root cause analysis tools (8D, 5-Why, Ishikawa) and statistical process control (experience)
  • Familiarity with warranty return processes and cost of poor quality (COPQ) metrics (experience)
  • Ability to travel occasionally for supplier audits or customer sites (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Engineering or Quality Management (experience)
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt certification (experience)
  • Experience with aerospace-specific standards like AS9145 (APQP) or PPAP (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Investigate quality issues from warranty returns using advanced root cause analysis to implement effective corrective and preventive actions
  • Monitor and reduce COPQ through data analysis, process optimization, and cross-functional collaboration
  • Drive continual improvement projects applying Lean Six Sigma methodologies to enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency
  • Conduct supplier quality audits, develop scorecards, and collaborate on supplier development plans
  • Perform risk assessments using FMEA and develop control plans for new product introductions
