Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement quality control plans, inspection methods, and statistical process control (SPC) techniques to monitor and improve manufacturing processes.
  • Conduct root cause analysis using tools like 8D, Fishbone diagrams, and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence.
  • Lead supplier quality audits and collaborate with vendors to enhance incoming material quality and resolve non-conformances.
  • Support product qualification testing, including First Article Inspections (FAI) and ongoing reliability assessments in line with aerospace and industrial standards.
  • Analyze quality data using Minitab or similar software to identify trends, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and report metrics to leadership.
  • Mentor junior quality engineers and facilitate training on quality tools and best practices across teams.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and prepare documentation for customer audits and certifications.

  • Proven experience with quality management systems (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001) (experience)
  • Hands-on expertise in statistical analysis and quality tools (e.g., SPC, Gage R&R) (experience)
  • Experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions (experience)
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Engineering or Quality Management (experience)
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification (experience)
  • Experience in aerospace or high-reliability manufacturing environments (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute quality control plans and inspection protocols for new product introductions
  • Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective/preventive actions using structured methodologies
  • Perform supplier quality assessments, audits, and develop improvement plans
  • Analyze production data to optimize processes and reduce defects using SPC and Lean Six Sigma tools
  • Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to integrate quality requirements early in the product lifecycle
  • Facilitate internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
  • Develop and deliver training programs on quality processes and tools for team members
