Key Responsibilities

  • Design, simulate, and prototype next-generation satellite navigation receivers and signal processing algorithms to improve accuracy and resilience in GNSS-denied environments.
  • Conduct performance analysis and testing of navigation systems using tools like MATLAB, Simulink, and real-world satellite data.
  • Lead research initiatives on multi-constellation GNSS integration (GPS, Galileo, BeiDou, GLONASS) and alternative PNT technologies such as LEO augmentation.
  • Collaborate with software, hardware, and systems engineering teams to integrate navigation solutions into aerospace platforms.
  • Develop technical requirements, risk assessments, and validation plans to ensure compliance with industry standards like RTCA DO-229 and EUROCAE ED-259.
  • Contribute to patentable innovations and publish findings in peer-reviewed journals or industry conferences.
  • Mentor junior engineers and support proposal development for government and commercial contracts.

  • Proven track record in signal processing, RF engineering, or inertial navigation systems (experience)
  • Hands-on experience with MATLAB, Simulink, or Python for modeling and simulation (experience)
  • Familiarity with aerospace standards and certification processes (e.g., DO-178C, DO-254) (experience)
  • Ability to obtain security clearance for international projects (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's or PhD in a relevant field with focus on navigation or satellite systems (experience)
  • Experience with multi-GNSS receivers or anti-jamming/spoofing technologies (experience)
  • Published research or patents in PNT technologies (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Design and optimize satellite navigation receiver architectures for high-precision applications
  • Develop and validate algorithms for GNSS signal acquisition, tracking, and position estimation
  • Perform system-level simulations and hardware-in-the-loop testing in lab and field environments
  • Lead cross-functional teams in integrating navigation solutions with inertial sensors and flight management systems
  • Analyze performance data from satellite constellations to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities
  • Document designs, generate reports, and present findings to stakeholders and customers
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies like LEO PNT and contribute to Honeywell's IP portfolio
