Required Qualifications

  • Ph.D. or Master's degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field (experience)
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in industrial R&D, preferably in aerospace, chemicals, or advanced manufacturing (experience)
  • Proven track record of developing and commercializing new materials or technologies (experience)
  • Experience with laboratory techniques such as spectroscopy, chromatography, and materials characterization (experience)
  • Strong publication record or patents in relevant scientific domains (experience)
  • Ability to work in a hybrid international environment with occasional travel (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ph.D. with post-doctoral experience in nanomaterials or sustainable technologies (experience)
  • Experience with Honeywell or similar Fortune 100 R&D environments (experience)
  • Certifications in Six Sigma, ISO standards, or project management (PMP) (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute experimental plans to develop advanced polymers, composites, or sensor materials for high-performance applications
  • Lead multidisciplinary R&D teams in prototyping and testing innovative solutions under tight timelines
  • Analyze complex datasets using statistical tools and machine learning to optimize material properties
  • Collaborate with global cross-functional teams to integrate R&D outputs into product development pipelines
  • Conduct risk assessments, ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards (e.g., REACH, FAA)
  • Mentor junior scientists and interns while contributing to Honeywell's innovation pipeline
  • Document results in technical reports and support intellectual property filings
