Senior Advanced Cloud Security Architect/Engineer

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and deploy secure cloud infrastructures using AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform, integrating zero-trust models and identity access management (IAM).
  • Lead the development of security automation frameworks, including Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform and CloudFormation, to enforce compliance and threat detection.
  • Conduct advanced threat modeling, risk assessments, and penetration testing for cloud-native applications and workloads.
  • Collaborate with engineering, DevOps, and compliance teams to embed security into CI/CD pipelines and microservices architectures.
  • Design and implement monitoring solutions using SIEM tools like Splunk or ELK Stack for real-time anomaly detection and incident response.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to Honeywell's security roadmap, staying ahead of emerging threats like supply chain attacks and quantum risks.

  • 8+ years of experience in cloud security architecture and engineering, with proven expertise in multi-cloud environments (experience)
  • 5+ years hands-on experience designing and implementing security controls in AWS, Azure, and/or GCP (experience)
  • Deep knowledge of cloud-native security services (e.g., AWS GuardDuty, Azure Sentinel, GCP Security Command Center) (experience)
  • Experience with compliance frameworks such as NIST, FedRAMP, SOC 2, and ISO 27001 (experience)
  • Strong background in secure software development lifecycle (SDLC) and DevSecOps practices (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Cybersecurity or related field (experience)
  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, AWS Certified Security Specialty, or Azure Security Engineer Associate (experience)
  • Experience in industrial IoT (IIoT) security or aerospace/defense sector compliance (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Design and architect advanced cloud security solutions, including encryption strategies, network segmentation, and workload protection
  • Lead security assessments and red team exercises to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities in cloud deployments
  • Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and automation scripts for scalable cloud environments
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and compliance teams to integrate security into business initiatives
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents using advanced analytics and orchestration tools like SOAR platforms
  • Drive innovation in emerging areas such as serverless security, Kubernetes/container security, and AI/ML threat detection
