Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the full project lifecycle from concept through design, development, testing, and commercial launch of integrated hardware-firmware-software-mechanical systems.
  • Define and manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and resources while mitigating risks to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
  • Collaborate with global engineering, product management, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to align on technical requirements and resolve integration challenges.
  • Develop and implement advanced engineering solutions using embedded systems, IoT protocols, and automation controls tailored to building management applications.
  • Conduct technical reviews, simulations, and validation testing to optimize system performance, reliability, and compliance with industry standards such as UL, CE, and ASHRAE.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership to foster innovation and knowledge sharing across teams.
  • Interface with customers and stakeholders to gather requirements, demonstrate prototypes, and ensure solutions meet market needs for energy efficiency and occupant comfort.

  • 5+ years of experience in project engineering or leadership roles within hardware-software integration projects (experience)
  • Proven track record of managing complex end-to-end engineering projects in building automation, IoT, or embedded systems (experience)
  • Experience with firmware development, embedded software, and mechanical design integration (experience)
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, or Stage-Gate (experience)
  • Ability to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Engineering or related field (experience)
  • PMP, Six Sigma, or similar project management certification (experience)
  • Experience in building automation systems (BAS) or HVAC controls (experience)
