Key Responsibilities

  • Analytical problem-solving and debugging skills using tools like GDB, Valgrind, and oscilloscopesintermediate
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities in cross-functional environmentsintermediate
  • Understanding of aerospace protocols and standards (DO-178C, ARP4754A)intermediate

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field (experience)
  • 7+ years of professional experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in advanced embedded or real-time systems (experience)
  • Proven track record developing software for safety-critical applications in aerospace, defense, or industrial sectors (experience)
  • Experience with full software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, including Agile and DevOps practices (experience)
  • Strong proficiency in C++, Python, and real-time operating systems (RTOS) (experience)
  • U.S. citizenship or ability to obtain security clearance due to ITAR/EAR requirements (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or related field (experience)
  • Certifications such as Certified Software Development Professional (CSDP) or AWS Certified Developer (experience)
  • Experience with AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) in edge computing environments (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop high-performance software architectures for embedded systems and IoT applications
  • Lead technical reviews and implement best practices for code quality, security, and reliability
  • Integrate hardware-software interfaces, including sensors, actuators, and communication protocols (e.g., ARINC 429, CAN)
  • Optimize algorithms for low-latency, high-reliability performance in resource-constrained environments
  • Collaborate with product and quality assurance teams to deliver robust, certifiable software solutions
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers while contributing to strategic roadmaps for software innovation
