This hybrid position offers the flexibility to collaborate with international teams while advancing mission-critical cybersecurity initiatives that protect the skies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain secure architectures for aerospace systems, integrating threat modeling and risk assessment throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Lead security reviews and penetration testing for embedded systems, avionics software, and cloud-integrated aerospace platforms.
  • Develop and enforce cybersecurity policies, standards, and secure coding practices tailored to aerospace regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software engineers, product managers, and compliance experts to embed security-by-design principles.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and remediation strategies for hardware-software integrations in safety-critical environments.
  • Mentor junior architects and contribute to Honeywell's global cybersecurity roadmap.
  • Stay abreast of emerging threats in aerospace, including cyber-physical attacks on drones and aircraft systems.

  • Proven track record in assessing security postures for complex, safety-critical systems compliant with DO-178C, NIST 800-53, or equivalent standards (experience)
  • Hands-on experience with threat modeling, secure SDLC, and risk management frameworks in regulated industries (experience)
  • Strong understanding of aerospace-specific threats, including cyber-physical systems and avionics security (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, or related field (experience)
  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GIAC GWEB, or CCSP (experience)
  • Experience with Honeywell products or similar aerospace technologies (e.g., avionics, flight control systems) (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Architect end-to-end cybersecurity solutions for aerospace products, from concept to certification
  • Perform in-depth security assessments, including static/dynamic analysis and penetration testing on embedded and real-time systems
  • Establish and maintain SDLC security best practices, integrating tools like OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite, and custom aerospace scanners
  • Lead cross-functional teams in threat modeling workshops and security design reviews for new product developments
  • Develop remediation roadmaps and monitor security posture using SIEM tools and compliance dashboards
  • Collaborate with regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders to ensure adherence to FAA, EASA, and international cybersecurity standards
  • Mentor and train engineering teams on secure coding, zero-trust architectures, and incident response in aerospace contexts
