Reporting directly to the Regional HSE Director for BA ISC Europe (based in the UK), you will receive strategic guidance while driving proactive initiatives to protect employee well-being, mitigate risks, and advance sustainability in building automation technologies. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive HSE management systems tailored to site-specific operations, ensuring alignment with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and local regulations.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments, audits, and inspections to identify hazards in building automation installations, driving corrective actions and continuous improvement.
  • Lead employee training programs on safety protocols, emergency response, and environmental best practices, fostering a zero-incident culture.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and facilities, to integrate HSE considerations into project planning and execution.
  • Monitor and report HSE performance metrics to senior leadership, preparing data-driven reports for regulatory submissions and internal reviews.
  • Champion sustainability initiatives, such as waste reduction, energy efficiency, and emissions control, supporting Honeywell's global environmental goals.
  • Investigate incidents, root cause analyses, and implement preventive measures to enhance site safety and compliance.

  • Minimum 7+ years of progressive experience in HSE management within manufacturing, construction, or industrial installation environments (experience)
  • Proven track record of ensuring compliance with EU HSE regulations (e.g., REACH, OSHA equivalents, local Spanish norms) (experience)
  • Experience in high-risk site operations, such as building automation or electrical installations (experience)
  • Strong knowledge of international standards including ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001 (experience)
  • Fluency in English and Spanish (written and spoken) (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in HSE, Environmental Science, or related discipline (experience)
  • Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH Managing Safely, or CSP (Certified Safety Professional) (experience)
  • Experience in sustainability reporting and ESG frameworks (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Design and deploy site-specific HSE policies, procedures, and emergency response plans to mitigate risks in building automation projects
  • Lead comprehensive safety audits, environmental impact assessments, and regulatory compliance inspections with detailed follow-up actions
  • Develop and deliver targeted training programs for 100+ employees on HSE topics, tracking participation and effectiveness
  • Collaborate with site leadership and regional teams to integrate HSE into project lifecycle from design to commissioning
  • Analyze incident data, perform root cause investigations, and implement corrective/preventive measures to achieve zero-harm goals
  • Drive sustainability programs including waste management, energy audits, and carbon footprint reduction aligned with Honeywell commitments
  • Prepare and present monthly/quarterly HSE reports to the Regional Director, highlighting KPIs and improvement opportunities
