Senior Manager of Corporate Accounting

Reporting to the Director of Corporate Accounting, you will lead a team of accounting professionals in a hybrid work environment, driving operational excellence across our diverse business segments in aerospace, building technologies, performance materials, and safety solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the preparation and review of consolidated financial statements, ensuring compliance with US GAAP, IFRS, and SEC reporting requirements.
  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including account reconciliations, variance analysis, and accrual management for corporate entities.
  • Manage technical accounting matters, including revenue recognition (ASC 606), leases (ASC 842), business combinations, and complex derivatives.
  • Develop and implement internal controls to mitigate financial risks and support SOX 404 compliance.
  • Collaborate with FP&A, tax, and business unit finance teams to provide accurate financial data for forecasting and strategic decision-making.
  • Mentor and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in accounting practices.
  • Drive process automation and optimization using ERP systems like SAP S/4HANA to enhance efficiency and scalability.

  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing accounting teams (experience)
  • Deep knowledge of US GAAP, SEC reporting, and SOX compliance (experience)
  • Experience with large-scale ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Accounting or MBA (experience)
  • Big 4 public accounting experience (experience)
  • International accounting experience with IFRS exposure (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Direct the corporate accounting close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting for a $40B+ revenue enterprise
  • Evaluate and implement technical accounting positions, including complex revenue contracts and M&A integrations
  • Conduct detailed variance analysis and provide insights to senior leadership on financial performance drivers
  • Oversee internal and external audit coordination, resolving findings and enhancing control environments
  • Lead process improvements and digital transformation initiatives to streamline accounting operations
  • Mentor direct reports and build talent pipelines for future finance leadership roles
  • Partner cross-functionally to support strategic initiatives like capital markets transactions and ESG reporting
